I left my job to care for my mental health and it was the best decision I ever made


“Paying bills is important, but breathing and being is invaluable.” It’s important to remember we’re all going through different experiences and our brains operate differently. When looking at this past year and a half, we’ve all experienced a variance of trauma, and it’s essential we give ourselves time to process and ground ourselves as best we can. It’s been said that we can’t show up for anyone else or do our best work if we’re not showing up as our best selves.

This is an article reminding us that yes, leaving a job is a privilege that many don’t have, but there are resources to help you focus on your mental health so you don’t have to go through the struggle alone. We as a society have to remove that stigma and further the dialogue around mental health to normalize and open up communication streams.
