She Spent Her Vacation Picking Up Trash Across the U.S., and Strangers Chipped in With Help and Gas

24-year-old Stefani Shamrowicz, a Colorado woman spent 23 days picking up 126 bags of trash across the country. She decided to use her time away from her job at a campus recreation center to give back to the national parks and nature in general that’s brought so much positivity and joy to her life. She gained support for this trip as supporters donated $10 per bag which she used for lodging and gas to keep fueling her trip. While Stefani acknowledged there’s much more work to do in creating a cleaner earth, she knows she did what she could and hopes her actions inspires others to do their part too. Stefani took action that benefits all of us, that is what we love at The Positive Identity.
